systemofadowny: I grew up with Steve, I watched all his programs. I watched him grow as a man and when he had got married and had his children and used to introduce them to these crazy wild animals. I changed my attitude to nature because of him. When I woke up and at exactly 11:31 September 4th 2006, I heard his death on the radio. I genuinely cried and I was in tears for about an hour because I totally aspired to be him one day. It’s crazy how someone like him can drastically change your life even though you’ve never known him bar him being on T.V.  I cried so much too.
